What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a clear, removable alternative to traditional braces for straightening your teeth. The process uses custom-made aligners that gradually move your teeth into place, without the use of metal brackets or wires.

Since the aligners are clear and removable, they’re less noticeable and can make eating, brushing, and flossing easier. Invisalign is a comfortable and discreet way to achieve a straighter smile. It’s suitable for both teens and adults. Having straighter teeth isn’t just about aesthetics. When your teeth are aligned, they’re easier to clean and can be less prone to leading to oral health issues down the road.

Who Is Invisalign For?

Invisalign is a great option for anyone looking to straighten their teeth discreetly. It works for people with mild to moderate alignment issues.

Whether you’re dealing with crooked teeth, gaps, or slight bite problems, Invisalign can help. Our team can help you determine if it’s the right fit for you based on your unique dental needs.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign works by using a series of clear, custom-made aligners designed to gradually shift teeth into place. With Invisalign, you can achieve a straighter smile comfortably and discreetly.

Each set is worn for about 2 weeks and should only be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. As you progress through your aligners, your teeth will shift into a more ideal position for your smile.

Regular dental check-ups help your treatment stay comfortable and on track, allowing for any necessary adjustments.

What to Expect from Your Invisalign Treatment

Your Invisalign journey begins with a thorough consultation with our team.

Creating Your Plan

To start, your dentist will ask about your specific needs and evaluate your oral health and bite. Next, we’ll do a quick intraoral scan to create a 3D image of your current bite, using it to create a tailored treatment plan. Plus, we can visualize your smile at the end of your Invisalign journey—always popular with our patients!

Wearing Your Aligners

Once your custom aligners are crafted, you’ll wear them for 20 to 22 hours each day, changing to a new set every 1 to 2 weeks.

Straightening teeth using Invisalign typically takes 12 to 18 months. However, depending on the current alignment of your teeth, you might be a candidate for Invisalign Express, which typically takes just 3 to 6 months to achieve your goals.

Checking Your Progress

Regular check-ups will be scheduled to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to keep you comfortable and to keep your treatment moving smoothly toward your desired results.
